To Reconcile Or Not

In your prayers this week I hope you will join me in giving thanks to the Lord for the Israeli team of two Jews, two Christian Arab pastors and an Armenian Christian who came to England for the CFI conference at High Wycombe. There was such unity of spirit as we worshipped together the God of Israel. The team shared how the Lord is breaking down barriers between communities as He reaches even Hamas members with a love that changes attitudes and relationships.

Secondly, please pray for the transition of the Government of Israel now that Ehud Olmert has resigned as Prime Minister. Tzipi Livni has 28 days to put together a coalition government, which could be extended to 42 days if necessary. Who she chooses as coalition partners and the cabinet posts they receive will affect what her government can do, for good or ill. She needs our prayers.

Thirdly, please pray for the Iranian situation. At the recent Conservative Party Conference I interviewed Baroness Pauline Nevill-Jones, the Shadow Minister for Security, and her comments show welcome support for Israel and concern over the nuclear threat…..
