Israel Tourism Boom

written by Sam Hailes

Israel has seen a rise of 38% in tourists visiting the nation during 2008.

In October, Israel hit a new record as 302,000 visitors arrived. In October of 2007, 250,000 visitors arrived in Israel. The previous record was set in October of 1999, when 292,000 visitors arrived.

The Tourism Ministry is confident tourism will continue to increase next year, despite the financial crisis in the United States and Europe.

Isrelate.com has teamed up with CFI-UK to provide tours to Israel. The 'Footsteps of Faith' tour returns from Israel this week and more visits are planned next year.

Why not join us in 2009 as we visit this incredible nation?

UPDATE: New figures show that more than three million visitors entered Israel in 2008 – 32% more than in 2007.
